Jeff has been in the financial services business for 44 years. He graduated from Colorado State University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

In 1979, he was recruited to join the John Hancock Marketing Management Program in Boston Massachusetts, and in 1988 was appointed to the John Hancock General Agent in New York City. 

The Camps Agency’s primary business was financial planning, estate planning, life insurance, and money management for high net worth individuals and business owners. 

In 2012, Jeff retired from John Hancock and formed Camps Wealth Management. The new independent firm would specialize in estate and corporate life insurance and wealth management. 

In May 2016, Jeff joined TPG Consulting, LLC of Greensboro, North Carolina a member firm of M Financial.  Jeff’s office is in Ketchum, Idaho.

Currently, Jeff holds the Chartered Life Underwriter designation and Chartered Financial Consultant designation, and is an investment advisor representative. 

Jeff is a past president of the New York City Chapter of CLU, ChFC, a past president of the General Agents and Managers Association of New York City,  a past president of the John Hancock General Agents Association, and served on the board of the New York Center for Financial Studies.
